CELPIP
The CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is a computer-delivered English language test that measures listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills for everyday, real-life situations. CELPIP-General evaluates all four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, in about 3 hours. It’s widely used for permanent residency applications in Canada and for various professional designations, making it especially relevant for students and professionals pursuing long-term settlement in Canada.
GMAT
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a standardized, computer-adaptive exam used by business schools worldwide to evaluate applicants for graduate management programs like an MBA. The exam covers three sections: Quantitative Reasoning (basic math, algebra, and problem-solving; 21 questions in 45 minutes), Verbal Reasoning (reading comprehension and critical reasoning; 23 questions in 45 minutes), and Data Insights (data interpretation, graph analysis, and multi-source reasoning; 20 questions in 45 minutes).
dMAT (for Graduate Applicants to Germany)
The digital Master Test (dMAT) is a standardized academic aptitude test for graduate students. Starting in 2026, the dMAT is being introduced as a new additional element in the APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) documentation and verification process for Indian graduates applying to Master’s-level programs in Germany.
Who needs to take the dMAT?
During its introductory phase in 2026, the dMAT requirement applies exclusively to applicants whose undergraduate degree is in one of the following fields:
- Engineering
- Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Business / Management
Applicants from these fields who plan to begin a graduate program in Germany for the Summer Semester 2027 or later are required to take the dMAT with the General Academic Module as part of their APS documentation process.
